Line and wrinkle smoothing treatments
There are lots of uses for Vistabel, the non-surgical treatment most will know by its previous name Botox. But while some will have heard how it can reduce facial lines and wrinkles, many may not be familiar with how it can help to treat excessive sweating.
Treatment for lines and wrinkles
It’s a fact of life that the ageing process gives us all lines and wrinkles. And there’s a whole host of reasons why your skin could have become tired and dull over the years. Environmental factors, such as spending too much time in the sun or smoking, can be a big factor in creating lines and wrinkles.
Excessive sweating
Botox is also used to treat hyperhidrosis – also known as excessive sweating. This condition can be embarrassing but you needn’t suffer – our experienced Practitioners can inject Botox into the affected area to keep sweating at bay. It enters the sweat glands and blocks the nerve impulses, while leaving other nerve functions alone.
How long does the treatment take?
Botox injections only usually take around 15 minutes, but this can depend on the area being treaded. The Practitioner will inject a very fine needle into the area to temporarily relax the muscles, meaning they no longer crease.
How quickly are results seen?
It can take up to ten days for the results to become visible – and they can last for between three and four months, depending on the area that’s been treated.
