Breast reduction (Mamoplasty) at Transform - FAQs
Who will breast reduction benefit?
If you feel your breasts are overly large, and cause pain or
discomfort in the back, or loss of confidence, then speak to
Transform today about a breast reduction. Call us or use our online
form to arrange your free consultation.
How is breast reduction done?
Breast reduction surgery repositions the nipple so it is in line
with the middle of the upper arm, and reduces the amount of excess
breast tissue, uplifting the remainder. This is done whilst the
patient is under general anaesthetic (you will be completely
unconscious).
How long will breast reduction take?
A 2 night stay in hospital is required when patients undergo
breast reduction surgery. The Transform clinics are comfortable and
friendly places, with 22 clinics located all over the UK. Find your
local Transform clinic here.
What results can I expect from breast reduction?
Patients who undergo breast reduction surgery can expect to have
smaller, firmer breasts with nipples that are in line with the
middle of their upper arms. This means you will no longer
experience back pain as a result of large breasts, and can enjoy
wearing outfits that show off your new, proportionate figure in
fashionable and revealing outfits! Surgeons at Transform report
that breast reduction is one of the most impactful in terms of
having a positive outcome on people’s lives. Browse the before and after pictures of breast
reduction to see some great results.
How long is the recovery period from breast reduction?
Transform recommends that breast reduction patients take at
least 2 weeks’ holiday from work. Patients are advised not to wear
underwired bras for at least six weeks after surgery, and strenuous
exercise should be avoided for at least 6 weeks.
Are there any after effects to having breast reduction?
There will be some discomfort for a few days, and your breasts
may feel tender for a number of weeks after the
procedure. Loss of sensation in the
nipples is likely after breast reduction as well as the ability to
breast feed.
Are there risks associated with breast reduction?
Transform has performed more cosmetic surgery than any other
provider in the UK. As such, we are extremely experienced; there is
no provider better placed to help you become more confident through
cosmetic surgery. However, as with all operations, there are some
risks associated with breast reduction. Your surgeon can help put
you at ease regarding any worries you may have. You can talk
through these concerns at your free
consultation.
Can I combine breast reduction with other treatments?
As breast reduction is popular with women who have had children,
you may like to consider a tummy tuck or
liposuction to help rid yourself of
post-childbirth weight. Or, maybe you are looking to achieve a
younger look, and would like to explore procedures that can counter
an ageing face?
How much does breast reduction cost?
Breast reduction costs from £5000. Here at Transform, we don’t
see why finance should be a barrier to your happiness; that’s why
we offer 12 months’ 0% interest free credit for breast reduction
surgery. Find out more about flexible finance
options.
How do I arrange to have breast reduction?
The first step towards undergoing breast reduction is to book a
free consultation with a member of our friendly, expert team. At a
consultation, you can expect to see a patient care co-ordinator,
with whom you will have plenty of opportunities to ask any
questions you may have about the procedure. The consultation will
take around 40 minutes initially
depending on your questions, during which time you will not
be given the ‘hard sell’. No pressure will be put on you to go
through with the procedure, and you will not be forced to make a
decision at the consultation. We understand that this is a big
decision for you and we want you to be totally satisfied that it’s
the right thing to do before committing to the procedure
booking.
