Calf Implant FAQs
1. Is calf implant surgery right for me?
Calf implants are the right choice for both men and women who want to add definition to their lower leg, particularly if they have tried unsuccessfully to develop their calf muscles through regular exercise.
2. What happens during surgery?
The surgery will require a general anaesthetic so you will be completely unconscious for the duration of the operation. A small cut is made in the crease line at the back of the knee where the implant can be introduced.
3. Who will perform my calf implant operation?
At Transform, our Surgeons have been selected for their cosmetic surgery skill and knowledge to ensure you always get the results you want.
Throughout your journey with Transform, you will be in the care of highly qualified and experienced people. All our medical professionals have a licence to practice and are registered with the General Medical Council.
All our Anaesthetists are Consultant Anaesthetists. This means they have the highest level of experience possible.
4. Where will my procedure take place?
You will be cared for in one of our regulated cosmetic surgery hospitals. These are centres of clinical excellence and are regulated by the Care Quality Commission.
As a patient of Transform you will only experience exemplary standards of care, hygiene and facilities.
5. What is the recovery period from the operation?
An overnight stay at one of our regulated cosmetic surgery hospitals will be required immediately after the operation. After which, Transform would recommend a patient who has undergone calf implant surgery to take 2 weeks holiday for post-operative recovery.
6. What results can I expect?
After the initial swelling has gone down, a patient who has undergone calf surgery can expect shapely, firm calf muscles that add to the definition of their leg shape. The size of the implants will affect the overall result.
7. Will I receive any aftercare?
To ensure your best possible recovery, you will have a post-operative appointment with a Nurse and a review with your Surgeon at your local Transform clinic. This will be an opportunity to discuss your results and decide on any further aftercare required.
If you are worried about anything after your procedure, you can speak to our resident medical officer on the dedicated 24/7 patient helpline.
This is all included in the cost of your surgery.
8. How much does calf implant surgery cost?
Calf implant surgery costs from £4,990. At Transform, we offer flexible finance options so you can spread the cost of your calf implant surgery.
9. How do I arrange my surgery?
You can send us an enquiry online using our online contact form or call us on 0800 655 6406
