CoolSculpt (sometimes known as freeze lipo or lipo freezing) is a new non-invasive technology that freezes away stubborn fat. Unlike other methods of body sculpting or liposuction, CoolSculpt involves no needles, surgery or downtime.

How does CoolSculpt work?

CoolSculpt works by targeting specific areas and cooling unwanted fat cells to create a natural looking reduction in fat bulges. The targeted fat cells are then eliminated through the body's natural lymphatic processes.

A CoolSculpt treatment typically lasts between 1-2 hours during which you will be fully conscious and able to relax. As the treatment in non-invasive you'll be able to return to normal activities immediately. Some patients do experience redness in the treated area, minor bruising, tingling or numbness, but these will be shortlived.

CoolSculpt results

While the results experienced will be different for every patient, a CoolSculpt treatment can result in a reduction in the targeted fat layer of around 20%.

You may start to notice changes as soon as 3 weeks post-treatment but most people will begin to notice the most dramatic effects after 2 months. Your body will still be flushing dead fat cells for between 2-4 months. As long as you maintain your weight and undertake regular exercise and a healthy diet the long-term results should be stable.
