Hair Replacement
To replace hair already lost, we use a state-of-the-art technique called random micrografting. This involves the relocation of hair follicles from one area of the head to another.
Follicles will be moved from an area of your head not affected by DHT levels - usually the back or sides - into the area of hair loss. You will find that new hair will usually start to grow between three and six months after treatment - taking on the same colour and growing at the same rate as before the hair loss.
Because each graft is so small, this technique may also be used on patches of thinning hair as well as those that are already bald.
Frequently Asked Questions
Will I be able to speak with the Surgeon prior to my hair transplant?
Yes. Unlike some other hospital groups you will meet the surgeon at your initial consultation where he will discuss fully with you the procedure.
Is the surgeon properly qualified to do this kind of work?
Yes, our surgeon is registered with the General Medical Council as a Specialist Consultant Surgeon in this field.
Is a hair transplant always successful?
Yes. In the case of gentlemen this is because of the area from which the hair is taken. For example the hair at the back of the head is resistant to male pattern hair loss and once transplanted in other areas continues to grow with the same resistance.
What does a hair transplant involve?
Individual Hair Follicles are dissected and then transplanted into the balding or thinning areas and after approximately three months new hair starts to appear.
Will it be obvious to other people that I've had a hair transplant?
The skill and experience of our surgeon and his team ensures it is completely undetectable.
Can anyone have a hair transplant?
Yes, the procedure is equally successful for men and women.
Are there any former patients who will speak with me about the procedure? Yes, we have several men and women who will be pleased to speak with you about their experiences with Transform.
What do I do next?
