Dental Veneers
What are dental veneers?
Dental veneers are thin pieces of porcelain that are attached to the front of your teeth to create the smile you’ve always wanted.
What can porcelain veneers do?
Porcelain veneers can fix broken or uneven teeth and close gaps which can be unsightly and ruin your smile. The veneers can be matched to your existing teeth for a completely natural look.
Veneers can also be used to give you a whiter smile if you have discoloured teeth that don’t respond to whitening.
Veneers are a permanent solution and they are very difficult to stain, so will continue to give you a sparkling smile for years.
The process of fitting dental veneers
The dental veneer process requires at least two visits.
Stage 1
Initially, the shiny outer enamel surface of the tooth is likely to require removal. This ensures that the veneers will bond permanently in place. Once the tooth has been prepared, a dentist will take an 'impression' of your mouth for a mould to be made.
The mould is sent away for the cast to be made which is needed to produce your customised veneers.
Stage 2
Once the veneers are ready you will have a fitting with the dentist. After checking to make sure you approve of the final look, the veneer is attached with a special adhesive.
The outcome of teeth veneers
The results can range from a “Hollywood Smile”, to a more natural look, or even just minor improvements that can boost your confidence and can make you look years younger.
Dental veneer prices
Porcelain veneers are always fitted as part of a customised procedure, so the price will always be determined on an individual basis.
