Dermal Fillers (nose to mouth)
Lines and wrinkles can leave your skin looking dull and tired over time, and for some these signs of ageing can be most prominent in the area between the nose and mouth. Dermal fillers are one of the most popular ways to fill out hollows and create smooth, contoured skin – and there’s no need to have surgery.
In our helpful video guide, Dr Steven Kaldor uses Juvaderm Ultra to explain how this simple non-surgical treatment can be used in this area, while discussing everything you’ll need to know about dermal fillers.
Which dermal filler is best for me?
Dermal fillers can help add volume to the face, but they can also be used to smooth out deep lines and wrinkles. If you have deep lines between the brow or have noticed nose to mouth lines forming, dermal fillers are a great solution.
What’s on offer?
There’s a whole range to choose from. Juvederm can really plump up gaunt areas using the latest hyaluronic acid volumisers – leaving skin looking more contoured and youthful. In the video above, you’ll see Dr Steven Kaldor using Juvaderm Ultra to help fill out the patients nose to mouth lines and correct her downturned mouth.
Restylane, can also add natural-looking volume to your face while smoothing wrinkles and line, while Sculptra is based on Poly-L-actic acid and stimulates collagen production in your skin, as well as filling in lines and wrinkles.
How long does the treatment take?
Botox injections only usually take around 15 minutes, but this can depend on the area being treaded. The Practitioner will inject a very fine needle into the area to temporarily relax the muscles, meaning they no longer crease.
How does it work?
It’s a quick and comfortable treatment, which involves fillers being injected into the skin. The results are seen immediately and can last up to 18 months, depending on the type of filler you go for.
