Dermal Fillers from Transform FAQs
Who will dermal fillers benefit?
Dermal fillers are great for treating the following: naso labial
lines (between the nose and mouth), marionette lines (the so-called
‘smile lines’ in the corners of the mouth), depressions and
blemishes (such as acne scars), hollow or sunken cheeks (caused by
fat atrophy due to the ageing process), correcting indentations,
tips, bumps and unevenness in the nose and chin, and improving
contours of the jaw. Dermal fillers can also be used to enhance
your lips. Call us or use our online form
to arrange your free consultation and find out which dermal filler
will be best for your specific needs.
What range of dermal fillers do you have?
There are lots of different dermal fillers; each has different
benefits and effects.
Restylane and Perlane - These are our most popular alternatives
to collagen replacement therapy and do not require an initial
28-day skin test. Restylane and Perlane are dermal fillers
consisting of a non-animal clear gel that will help smooth your
wrinkles and folds and create contours. It can also be used to
provide lip enhancement if required.
Restylane and Perlane will generally remain in the treated area for
some months following your treatment, giving it natural looking
volume and contours. Restylane is used for fine lines whilst
Perlane is used for deeper wrinkles and folds. Qmed, who make these
products, have been in this market for 20 years and 6 million
treatments have been treated worldwide. It is the market
leader.
Restylane Vital (Dermal Hydration) - Restylane
vital from Qmed is a natural treatment that gently replenishes
hyaluronic acid, reversing the tell tale signs of ageing. It's a
pure crystal clear gel and when introduced to the skin in tiny
amounts with an extra fine needle, it creates a fresh natural and
more youthful appearance. Its rather like moisturiser in an
injection form. Restylane vital can be used in all skin areas that
give away your age. These include the face, as well as the neck,
décolletage and the backs of the hands. By addressing these signs
of ageing wherever they arise Restylane Vital achieves overall
natural beauty. A series of treatments is needed over a period of 6
months to achieve the best results . Restylane Vital is suitable
for all skin types and no pre-testing required.
Hydrafill ,Softline and Softline Max - From the
makers of Botox, these are our newest products. They can reduce
lines and wrinkles, enhance lips and add definition to your chin
and cheeks. It is made from hyaluronan, an organic substance found
within your skin, and helps to restore the skin’s natural look. It
works by mimicking the hydrating and lifting effects of hyaluronan,
keeping the skin moist and elastic - and you looking and feeling
great. Following a series of light injections, your skin will be
supported and flattened for a smoother, softer look.
Sculptra (Volumiser) - Designed to help
alleviate unwanted lines and wrinkles, leaving your face feeling
both smoother and firmer as well as looking younger. It is based on
Poly-L-actic acid, which, when injected into a line or wrinkle, not
only fills out the area, but also starts to stimulate natural
production of new collagen. So, in addition to minimising the
wrinkle, you also benefit from a continued natural restructuring
process for months after completion of your treatment. A series of
treatments is recommended over a 12 week period. Results are
visible usually after 2 sessions but 3 sessions are recommended for
best results. The results can last up to 3 years.
Radiesse - This is dermal filler of choice for
longer lasting results that are not permanent. Using Radiesse
clients will get results lasting from 12 to 18 months. Ideal for
those patients who want something to last that little bit
longer.
Teosyal - Teosyal® is a new range of non-animal 100% hyaluronic
acid based wrinkle filling products. This product is highly
biocompatible and is slowly absorbed. Teosyal can be injected into
the entire face, neckline, neck and hands. No pre-testing is
required.
Collagen - Collagen was the first dermal filler
to be available almost 30 years ago. Injectable collagen was first
used to treat patients in 1976. Due to the nature of its production
all clients wishing to have this treatment must have a patch test
prior to treatment. If there are no side effects after 28 days the
treatment maybe administered. Collagen normally lasts for about 3
months.
