Eye Bag Removal FAQs
1. Who will eyelift surgery benefit?
People who have excessive skin around their eyelid or beneath the eye which gives a tired, unhappy, or aged appearance, would benefit from eye bag removal surgery.
2. How is eye lift surgery done?
Your Surgeon will need to make incisions into either the creases in your eyelids or just below your eyelashes depending on whether you are having upper or lower removal. They will then remove the excess skin and fat to tighten up the area.
3. Who will perform my surgery?
Your surgery will be performed by a Transform Surgeon who has been selected for their skill and knowledge. We regularly review our Surgeons patient satisfaction ratings to ensure you get the results you want.
4. Where will my surgery take place?
When you choose Transform, you can be safe in the knowledge that your cosmetic surgery procedure will take place in a dedicated cosmetic surgery hospital and not a rented ward in a private hospital.
Transform is the only cosmetic surgery provider to own and run two dedicated cosmetic surgery hospitals to ensure our patients are in Transform’s care throughout their journey.
5. How long will I have to stay in the hospital?
It is possible to have eye bag surgery with a local anaesthetic meaning you could be in and out of hospital the same day. Your Surgeon and Anaesthetist will ultimately decide if you require a general or local anaesthetic.
6. What results can I expect?
You can expect to have a younger eye area, and a more fresh-faced appearance.! You can read Richard’s eye bag removal case study and see his results.
7. Can I combine eye lift surgery with other procedures?
Eye bag surgery and other facial cosmetic surgery procedures, including facelift, facial liposuction, or brow lift are common combinations, particularly for people who are looking for a younger appearance.
8. How long is the recovery period from eye lift surgery?
We recommend patients take at least a fortnights holiday from work. Patients who undergo the procedure can expect to experience some swelling and bruising for 10-14 days. Contact lenses cannot be worn for at least 5 days. Make-up can be worn after 1 week.
9. How much does eye bag surgery cost?
Eye lifts costs from £2,850. At Transform we have two finance offers which could help you spread the cost of your cosmetic surgery procedure.
10. How do I arrange to have eye lift surgery?
You can use our online form or call us to arrange an appointment with a Patient Care Co-ordinator at your local Transform clinic.
Your Patient Care Co-ordinator will talk you through the likely costs and the process, from consultation to aftercare so you know exactly what to expect.
Following this initial appointment, you will be invited to a consultation with a Surgeon. Unlike many cosmetic surgery providers, we won’t charge you for your surgical consultation and you won’t be under any obligation to go ahead.
