Eye Bag Surgery (Blepharoplasty) FAQs
Who will eye
bag
surgery
benefit?
Eye lift surgery will benefit both men and women who have
excessive, droopy skin around their eyelid or beneath the eye,
giving a tired, unhappy, or aged appearance to the face. If you
feel you are lacking in confidence as a result of how you look,
speak to a friendly member of the Transform team today about
booking as consultation to explore eye lift surgery further. Call
us or use our online form to arrange your
free consultation.
How is eye lift surgery done?
There are four types of blepharoplasty surgery: upper
blepharoplasty (performed along crease line of upper eyelid), lower
blepharoplasty (performed along the crease line of the lower
eyelash line), and upper and lower blepharoplasty (both these
procedures performed together). Traditional blepharoplasty removes
excess skin and fat, but does not generally improve lines and
wrinkles; laser therapy may be used to rectify this if
necessary.
How long will eye lift surgery take?
General anaesthetic (you will be completely unconscious) or
local anaesthetic (you will be numbed, yet conscious) are both
possible for patients undergoing eye lift surgery, depending on
your preference. This means you may be in and out of hospital the
same day, or stay overnight if you prefer in the comfortable
surroundings of your local Transform clinic. Find your local clinic now!
What results can I expect from eye lift surgery?
You can expect to look younger, more fresh-faced and even
happier! The eyes are the doors into the soul as they say; yours
will look clearer and more expressive as a result of eyelid /
eyebag correction surgery. Browse before and
after pictures of eye lift surgery.
How long is the recovery period from eye lift surgery?
We recommend patients take at least 10-14 days’ holiday from
work. Patients who undergo eye lift surgery can expect to
experience some swelling and bruising for 10-14 days. Contact
lenses cannot be worn for at least 5 days. Make-up can be worn
after 1 week.
Are there any after effects to eye lift surgery?
Patients who undergo eye lift surgery can expect to experience
some swelling and bruising for 10-14 days. We advise patients to
wear sunglasses during this time to protect against sunlight;
contact lenses cannot be worn for at least 5 days. Patients are
advised to clean the eye area with salt water and use regular ice
packs to bring down swelling and ease discomfort.
Aside from normal, post-surgery discomfort, you should not
experience side effects from eye lift surgery. If anything abnormal
is happening, you are encouraged to get in touch with the clinic as
soon as possible so we can see if there is any problem is and, if
so, put it right straight away. We offer a comprehensive and
extensive post-operative care programme, which includes detailed
post-operative instructions and follow-up appointments with your
surgeon at your local Transform clinic to ensure a speedy recovery,
all at no additional cost. Find out more
about our comprehensive aftercare programme here.
Are there risks associated with eye lift surgery?
Transform has performed more cosmetic surgery than any other
provider in the UK. As such, we are extremely experienced; there is
no provider better placed to help you become more confident through
cosmetic surgery. However, as with all operations, there are some
risks associated with eye lift surgery. Your surgeon can help put
you at ease regarding any worries you may have. You can talk
through these concerns at your free
consultation.
Can I combine eye lift surgery with other procedures?
As eye lift surgery is a procedure mainly undertaken by people
who wish to counter the effects of ageing, we offer several
packages for combining complimentary procedures. A facelift will compliment your eye lift; in fact
it will bring about an improved result.
How much does eye lift surgery cost?
Upper blepharoplasty costs from £2850 and lower from £2910.
Upper and lower costs from £3025. Here at Transform, we don’t see
why finance should be a barrier to your happiness; that’s why we
