How does laser lipo work?
The treatment is done under local anaesthetic and can take up to three hours from start to finish. This includes the infiltration of the local anaesthesia and the actual time spent lasering the area and low level suction following the laser application.
The laser fibre is inserted through a small tube that can be inserted into the body so that the fibre optic can be guided to break down the fat cell wall - effectively “liquifying” fat. This will be followed by low level suction to draw out the fat.
Which areas does the treatment work on?
The treatment is most effective on smaller areas of stubborn fat resistant to diet and exercise. Often these are areas for which traditional surgical liposuction might not produce the best results such as neck, knees, back, upper arms, chin and cheeks.
