How does Liposuction surgery work?
Liposuction is a surgical procedure that involves changing body shapes through the removal of fat. The plastic surgery works by inserting a narrow tube through a small incision into the affected area. The fat cells are broken up with a saline solution and removed through the tube.
Laser Lipo and Lipo Freezing
In addition to traditional liposuction (where a general anaesthetic is required), patients are increasingly asking us for 'smart lipo' procedures. We offer both Laser Lipo and CoolSculpt or 'Lipo Freezing'.
Laser Lipo is less invasive than traditional Liposuction. The procedures work by breaking down fat cells, which in turn reduces the suction requirements - both offer quicker recovery periods. CoolSculpt takes this a step further in that it doesn't require a general anaesthetic and is therefore classed as a non-surgical procedure.
Liposuction results
Both men and women in the UK choose to have liposuction to help remove stubborn pockets of fat that are difficult to tone up even if your diet is healthy and you exercise regularly. Not only is it immediately effective, the fact that the fat cells removed by liposuction do not get replaced by your body, the results will be long-lasting as well.
