Miss California 'far from alone' in getting breast augmentation
01 May 2009

Bosses of the
Miss California Organisation have admitted to helping their girl
get a surgical boost prior to entering the Miss USA Pageant.
Just recently it was revealed that Miss California, Carrie Prejean,
benefitted from breast augmentation surgery in a bid to claim the
coveted beauty crown.
Now, Shanna Moakler, the co-executive director of the Miss
California Organisation has revealed that the group did provide the
funding for the procedure, arguing that, with women competing to
see who looks the best in a swimsuit,
cosmetic
surgery procedures such as boob jobs and
liposuction are far from rare on the pageantry
circuit.
"Breast implants in pageants is not a rarity," she told Access
Hollywood.
"It's definitely not taboo. It's very common. Breast implants today
among young women today is very common."
The news comes after entrepreneur and the man in change of the
annual Miss USA Pageant supported Prejean's right to state her
opinions after her controversial views on gay marriage prompted an
outcry from judge Perez Hilton among others.
