Why have microdermabrasion?
Beyond your 20s, your skin becomes damaged and less efficient at renewing itself. One way to remove dead skin cells, improve your skin’s texture and reveal a more radiant, healthy looking you is to exfoliate with microdermabrasion.
The benefits of microdermabrasion
Microdermabrasion can achieve several things. In addition to smoothing and improving the complexion of your skin, it can give it a more luminous glow and reduce the appearance of wrinkles. It is proactive too as it helps stimulates collagen production and promotes the growth of healthy new cells.
Microdermabrasion treatment
Microdermabrasion is a form of exfoliation that polishes the topmost layer of your skin and then vacuums away the dead skin cells.
We use the advanced Diamond Tome system to do this. Unique diamond chip wands carefully polish your skin to reveal its natural radiance and luminosity. This reduces fine lines and rejuvenates the complexion quickly and without discomfort. A moisturiser and sun block are then applied.
What microdermabrasion is used for
Microdermabrasion can be used for giving your skin a general rejuvenation but it can also help with other skin problems. The appearance of acne scarring, pigmentation, sun damage, stretch marks and wrinkles can all be reduced.
How long does it take?
Microdermabrasion treatment usually takes around 45 minutes. A course of 6 treatments is usually recommended to achieve the best results. We normally allow 1-2 weeks between treatments.
The results
After your course of microdermabrasion treatments, the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles should be smoothed. Your skin tone should also appear brighter with a more natural glow.
How much does it cost?
One session of microdermabrasion costs £55. A course of treatments is advised for best results.
Enhances other skin treatments too
Microdermabrasion can also be used to enhance the results of other skin rejuvenation treatments. Combined with Botox® or dermal fillers, it can help the effects of other treatments last longer. Microdermabrasion also compliments IPL laser skin rejuvenation and facial peels.
