Facial Peels
Facial peels keep your face fresh and youthful, helping to
improve skin tone and texture and reduce visible wrinkles. They are
also great for treating acne and acne scarring.
Facial peels are an accelerated form of exfoliation induced by the
use of chemical products. A range of different formulations is
available, depending on your particular skin type. Our specialist
doctors and nurses who are trained in non-surgical procedures will
be able to recommend the right one for you at a consultation.

Facial Peels FAQs
Who will a facial peel benefit?
If you have ageing skin, with fine lines and wrinkles, then a
facial peel will benefit you. Likewise, if you have acne or acne
scars and greasy skin, a facial peel will be of benefit. People
with melasma, sun spots, freckles or uneven skin will also get
improved skin after a facial peel.
What types of facial peels are available at Transform?
Weoffer a range of skin peels including Easy Phytic,
Glycolic, Easy TCA, Unideep, Obagi Blue and Phenol facial
peels.
Glycolic Peel - Derived from fruit acids,
glycolic peels are the mildest of the peel formulas and produce
light peels. These types of peels can provide smoother,
brighter-looking skin for people who can't spare the time to
recover from a phenol or TCA peel.
Easy Phytic peel - This pampering treatment gives
an effective exfoliation, stimulating healthy skin from the dermal
layers, without the obvious signs of exfoliation. This may be more
suited to those who do not wish to have visible peeling. It is an
excellent maintenance therapy for those who may have had other
treatments.
Easy TCA Peel - Trichloroaetic acid 15% ,
a medium depth peel, targeting surface wrinkles and
blemishes.
Unideep Peel - Unideep is a chemical skin peel
using 23% Trichloroacetic acid (TCA). A deep skin regeneration for
photo ageing, acne, smoothing of acne scars, melasma, chloasma,
keratosis and fine lines. It has the same benefits as a course of
easy peel but using a stronger solution so that one treatment is
sufficient.
Obagi Blue Peel - The Blue Peel is designed to
improve the appearance and health of your skin. Using a specific
concentration of the chemical trichloroacetic acid usually 30%(TCA)
mixed with a special blue base to slow penetration, the Blue Peel
allows your doctor to monitor the appropriate depth to effectively
remove the thin surface layers of aged and damaged skin from the
face or other parts of the body. These dead skin cells are replaced
by healthier ones, allowing the skin’s own clarity and tightness to
resurface.
Phenol Peel - The strongest of the peeling
agents. It is used mainly to treat patients with coarse facial
wrinkles, areas of blotchy or damaged skin caused by sun exposure.
A popular area for using the phenol peel is around the mouth to
help eradicate deeper wrinkles and around the eye area.
How is a facial peel done?
Depending on the type of peel that is recommended for you, a
solution is applied to the area being treated. There is a slight
burning sensation, but this is minimal as the solution also acts as
an anaesthetic. The solution leads to the removal of thin surface
layers of aged and damaged skin.
Your skin will begin to peel in 2 - 3 days. The layers of dead
skin cells exfoliate and are replaced by healthier ones allowing
the skins own clarity and tightness to resurface.
How long will it take to perform a facial peel?
Depending on the type of peel from 30 minutes to an hour. A
typical peel treatment consists of 4 peels at weekly intervals.
Although medium to deeper strength peels will only require one
visit
What results can I expect from a facial peel?
The result is a dramatically softer, smoother younger look, so
rejuvenating the skin, reducing fine lines, wrinkles and
scarring.
How long is the recovery period from a facial peel?
As soon as the facial peel is complete you will be allowed home.
Your skin will begin to peel in 2 - 3 days. For deeper peels it is important to follow the regime
that will be recommended by our experienced practitioners at your
consultation.
Are there any after effects from a facial peel?
There should not be any side effects. However, following any
kind of peel it is recommended that sunscreen be used to prevent
any unwanted pigmentation marks that can happen following any kind
of medium to deep peel. Our experienced, qualified practitioners
will recommend the most appropriate after
care.
Are there risks associated with a facial peel?
Transform has performed more cosmetic surgery than any other
provider in the UK. As such, we are extremely experienced; there is
no provider better placed to help you become more confident through
a non-surgical cosmetic procedure. You can talk through any
concerns you may have at your free
consultation.
Can I combine other treatments with a facial peel?
As with many facial rejuvenation treatments, a facial peel will
work very well alongside other treatments such as IPL, light therapy and
microdermabrasion. If you are looking for
a more dramatic anti-ageing effect, then you may like to explore a
mini-facelift or a full facelift.
How much does a facial peel cost?
Facial peels can cost from as little as £90 depending upon the
