Thigh Lift surgery (Thighplasty) at Transform - FAQs
Who will thigh lift surgery benefit?
Many people who think they will be suitable for thigh lift
surgery end up choosing liposuction
instead, due to the relatively serious scarring that occurs with
thigh lift surgery. A thigh lift is very effective at removing
excessive skin; especially in the case of someone who has last a
vast amount of weight and is carrying unsightly folds of skin where
fat used to be. If you have thighs with excessive fat and would
like a more slender or sculpted appearance you may be better suited
to liposuction. Call us or use our
online form to discuss your specific
requirements at a free consultation.
How is thigh lift surgery done?
Excess skin is removed along the inner thigh area, which may
extend from the inner knee to the groin area, and may carry on to
the buttock area, dependant on the amount of excessive skin to be
removed.
How long will thigh lift surgery take?
A 2 night stay in your local, comfortable Transform clinic is
required. Find your local Transform clinic
here.
What results can I expect from thigh lift surgery?
You can expect slimmer looking thighs with tauter skin where the
excess skin used to be. You’ll be more confident wearing shorts or
skirts without excess skin hanging down to spoil the effect.
How long is the recovery period from thigh lift surgery?
Patients of inner thigh lift surgery are advised to take 2-3
weeks’ holiday from work. A 2 night stay in a comfortable Transform
hospital is required. Wounds are checked 7 days after surgery.
Are there any after effects to thigh lift surgery?
Patients will experience soreness
in the legs and should avoid walking far or driving for 3-4 weeks
after surgery. A compression bandage is advised to be wron for a
number of weeks after the procedure to facilitate shrinkage of the
tissue and prevent swelling.
Aside from normal, post-surgery
discomfort, you should not experience side effects from a thigh
lift. If anything abnormal is happening, you are encouraged to get
in touch with the clinic as soon as possible so we can see if there
is any problem is and, if so, put it right straight away. We offer
a comprehensive and extensive post-operative care programme, which
includes detailed post-operative instructions and follow-up
appointments with your surgeon at your local Transform clinic to
ensure a speedy recovery, all at no additional cost. Find out more about our comprehensive aftercare
programme here.
Are there risks associated with thigh lift surgery?
Transform has performed more cosmetic surgery than any other
provider in the UK. As such, we are extremely experienced; there is
no provider better placed to help you become more confident through
cosmetic surgery. However, as with all operations, there are some
risks associated with a surgical thigh lift. Your surgeon can help
put you at ease regarding any worries you may have. You can talk
through these concerns at your free
consultation.
Can I combine thigh lift with other treatments?
Thigh lift surgery is recommended for people who have lost a lot
of weight and have excessive skin hanging loose from their upper
legs. You may also be interested in an inner arm lift surgery, also great for people who have
recently lost a lot of weight; likewise, a buttock lift will also give great shape to your
lower body after losing weight. Browse our obesity surgery procedures if you have not yet
lost the weight. If you wish to have some excess fat removed,
rather than excess skin you may like to explore liposuction instead.
How much does thigh lift surgery cost?
An inner arm lift costs from £5290. Here at Transform, we don’t
see why finance should be a barrier to your happiness; that’s why
we offer 12 months’ 0% interest free credit for eye lift surgery.
