Nose Surgery (Rhinoplasty) FAQs

Who will nose surgery (Rhinoplasty) benefit?

If you dislike the size and/or shape of your nose, to the extent that it is affecting your life and making you feel unconfident or unhappy, then you would benefit from rhinoplasty. It is crucial you make the right decision so it is important you come in for a consultation with out experts who can guide you through the process and answer any questions you may have. Call us or use our online form to arrange your free consultation.

How is nose surgery (Rhinoplasty) done?

There are three different types of corrective nose surgery: rhinoplasty (full nose correction involving bridge, nose tip and nostrils), septorhinoplasty (as rhinoplasty, but requires alteration to internal septum) and rhinotip (tip correction and nostril adjustment), each is performed in different ways, dependant on what is required.

How long will it take?

Rhinoplasty and septorhinoplasty are performed under general anaesthetic (you will be completely unconscious), so you will require an overnight stay in hospital. However, rhinotip surgery may only require local anaesthetic (you will be awake, with the area numbed), so you may be able to return home the same day. Transform recommend patients who have undergone rhinoplasty take at least a 1 week holiday from work.

What results can I expect from my nose surgery?

Dependant on the specific nose corrective surgery you have had, you will have different levels of change in the appearance of your nose. You will have a nose that is better proportioned to suit your face, and hopefully will become more confident and happy as a result. Click here to see before and after pictures of rhinoplasty.

How long is the recovery period?

You are likely to experience bruising and swelling for 7-14 days. We recommend that patients undergoing rhinoplasty take the same amount of time off work. You may experience post-operation swelling and stiffness inside and/or outside the nose for several months.

Are there any after effects ?

You are likely to experience bruising and swelling of the eye and upper cheek areas in the immediate week/s after surgery. Swelling and stiffness inside and/or outside the nose can take several months to disappear completely.

Aside from normal, post-surgery discomfort, you should not experience side effects from rhinoplasty. If anything abnormal is happening, you are encouraged to get in touch with the clinic as soon as possible so we can see if there is any problem is and, if so, put it right straight away.We offer a comprehensive and extensive post-operative care programme, which includes detailed post-operative instructions and follow-up appointments with your surgeon at your local Transform clinic to ensure a speedy recovery, all at no additional cost. Find out more about our comprehensive aftercare programme here.

Are there risks associated with Rhinoplasty?

Transform has performed more cosmetic surgery than any other provider in the UK. As such, we are extremely experienced; there is no provider better placed to help you become more confident through cosmetic surgery. However, as with all operations, there are some risks associated with rhinoplasty. Your surgeon can help put you at ease regarding any worries you may have. You can talk through these concerns at your free consultation.

Can I combine Nose Surgery with other procedures?

We offer specific packages to combine with nose corrective surgery, as we find many patients like to compliment their new, better proportioned nose with other corrective surgery, such as cheek implants, chin implants or dental implants to give further definition to the face, or a facelift (or mini-facelift) to achieve a fresher-looking face with tauter skin. Why not explore all these types of surgery to rectify an ageing face?

Of course you may feel that you would like to improve another part of your body, aside from the face. Explore our procedures and then get in touch to book a consultation by calling 08706 099 099 or use our online form to arrange your free consultation.

How much does it cost?

Nose correction surgery costs from £2390. Here at Transform, we don’t see why finance should be a barrier to your happiness; that’s why we offer 12 months’ 0% interest free credit for nose surgery. Find out more about flexible finance options.

How do I arrange to have nose surgery (Rhinoplasty)?

The first step towards arranging rhinoplasty is to book a free consultation with a member of our friendly, expert team. At a consultation, you can expect to see a patient care co-ordinator, with whom you will have plenty of opportunities to ask any questions you may have about corrective nose surgery. The consultation will take around 30 mins, during which time you will not be given the ‘hard sell’. No pressure will be put on you to go through with the procedure, and you will not be forced to make a decision at the consultation. We understand that this is a big decision for you and we want you to be totally satisfied that it’s the right thing to do before committing to the procedure booking.
