However, I was determined and managed to lose all the weight through diet and exercise - dropping from a size 22 to a 10. I was so happy I'd stuck to my healthy lifestyle and lost the weight but I was left with tonnes of loose skin on my belly which seemed so unfair considering the hard work I'd put in. One Christmas my husband asked me what I'd like him to buy me and I told him a tummy tuck. He said he hadn't planned on spending that much on me! He understood how uncomfortable I was with my stomach though and knew how much it was getting me down. I went to Transform for a tummy tuck and the whole process couldn't have been made any easier. The staff at the clinic and in the hospital were so friendly, kept me informed all the time and made me feel comfortable (despite being away from home). They seemed to genuinely care about me. My Surgeon was very matter of fact and told me all the ins and outs - what the procedure involved, how I would feel when I woke up, how I would feel in the weeks afterwards - and I liked her honesty as it meant there were no surprises. My recovery after the surgery was very speedy – I had my operation on the 9th December and I was cooking Christmas dinner for 16 people just over two weeks later. I didn’t have pain as such, but the area itself was sore for a few weeks. Having my operation is the best thing I did. I didn’t do it to look great nude – I’m past that age - but I wanted the outside of my body to reflect how healthy and fantastic I feel on the inside. " |
