CoolSculpting, or cryolipolysis, is a non-surgical fat reduction treatment that uses cold to reduce or remove fat cells by freezing them in the desired target areas to -11 degrees Celsius. By doing this, the cells are destroyed and over time become eliminated by the body through its own natural process. Only the areas treated will be affected by the procedure.
Because of the advanced technology used by CoolSculpting treatment, there is no requirement to undergo surgery or have anaesthetic, and there’s no downtime afterwards.
CoolSculpting helps to shift unwanted areas of fat during the 35-45 minute session. You’ll start to see the results within the first few weeks, and the final result will be apparent in about 3 months. The fat cells are permanently destroyed, meaning they can’t return to that area. And because no recovery time is required, you can carry on with your day as normal after treatment.
Fat freezing is non-invasive - you’ll just feel a mild tingling and numbness throughout the treatment – so you don’t have to worry about any needles or anaesthetic. It’s suitable for both men and women and can treat areas such as stomach, back, flanks thighs, buttocks, and chin.
As with all medical aesthetic treatments, it’s important to weigh up the risks involved against the benefits that the treatment can bring.
CoolSculpting is a low-risk, non-invasive treatment, but there are possible side effects such as tingling and mild pinching during the procedure.
If you’ve exhausted your other options for diet and exercise and still can’t shift certain pockets of fat, CoolSculpting can help do the rest of the work for you.
For the best results, you should have a BMI no higher than 30 and live a healthy lifestyle. Your medical aesthetic practitioner will take details of your medical history to establish if the treatment is right for you.
As a responsible provider of cosmetic surgery, we understand that each individual patient’s procedure needs to be different, and so this will be tailored specifically to you. Because of this, we place a great deal of importance on our free, face-to-face, no- obligation consultations.
Following our consultation process, your practitioner will provide a detailed pricing overview for CoolSculpting. Please view our pricing and finance page to read more about the flexible credit options available via our partnerships with specialist financial providers.

Your treatment consultation
Once you’ve made your initial telephone enquiry with us, an appointment will be made for you to attend a free consultation with one of our medical aesthetics or nurse practitioners. This will be carried out by video or at your nearest clinic. During this discussion, you’ll be guided through your CoolSculpting treatment options to ensure you get the best results after treatment. You can discuss every aspect of your procedure, with no obligation to go ahead. Our practitioners and nurses are extremely knowledgeable and happy to answer any questions you have. If you feel ready to proceed, we’ll book the procedure in for a day and time that suits you.
On the day of your CoolSculpting fat freezing treatment, you’ll meet with your practitioner so you can ask any last-minute questions. How long CoolSculpting takes will depend on the area you’re having treated, but as it’s a non-surgical procedure, it usually takes less than two hours to complete.
First, a gel pad and applicator will be applied to the area. You might feel some pulling, pinching or intense cold in the first few minutes, but this soon passes as the area becomes numbed. Then you just sit back and let the technology do its work. You can read a book, relax or take a nap. After your treatment, the area will be massaged for a few minutes to help with the cell breakdown.
You’ll be able to leave the clinic on the same day as you have the treatment. Your skin may feel a little numb or have a tingling sensation throughout the process, but this will stop once it’s complete.
High quality aftercare is just as important as the treatment itself, so we’re here to support you. If you have any questions or concerns at all, you can contact our 24/7 helpline. You’ll be able to continue with your day to day activities after the treatment, and although you may have some side effects such as mild bruising or redness of the skin, this will subside quickly.
