Men face many of the same skin concerns as women, which makes it little surprise that skin rejuvenation for men is becoming an increasingly popular treatment in our clinics. Whether skin has been damaged by sun exposure, ageing or acne, the condition can be noticeably improved.
At Transform we offer IPL skin rejuvenation for men, which is designed to help reduce the appearance of a number of specific skin problems. These include: sunspots, acne, rosacea, birthmarks, thread veins and age pigmentation spots, and is an ideal treatment for sun-damaged or generally tired skin.
So, how does it work? IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) treatment provides short bursts of high intensity light to stimulate collagen. This adds volume to the skin, while also improving the skin tone and general appearance. As with our female customers, several sessions of men’s IPL skin treatments are often required to see the best results.

We’re dedicated to providing exceptional care and we’re proud to say that so many of our patients agree – 95% rate their Transform experience as good or excellent and we receive enquiries from 15,000 people each year on the recommendation of family and friends.
You’ll have the opportunity to ask your practitioner or nurse any questions as part of your consultation, but to start the ball rolling here are the answers to some that our patients most frequently ask.
IPL technology is a type of laser that generates intense bursts of red or blue light. These heat the dermal tissue without harming or removing the outer epidermal layers of the skin. The body’s natural processes then work to break down and remove these marks. The appearance of any skin imperfection can then be visibly reduced. Treatment results and benefits can vary and are different for each individual. As such, Transform cannot guarantee specific results.
A cooling gel is first applied to the area to be treated and you’ll be asked to wear protective eyewear. A state-of-the-art Lumenis One or Quantum IPL machine is then gently applied. This delivers precise pulses of light that may help eliminate the pigment or imperfection without damaging surrounding tissue.
Each treatment takes around 20 minutes and you will be able to leave the clinic immediately after your session. The treatment is pain-free but you may experience a slight tingling sensation and have some redness for an hour or so.
Around 6 treatments at 3-6 week intervals are usually required. We recommend a top-up treatment once or twice a year to maintain your desired results.
IPL can be effective by itself but a combination of treatments could enhance results further. Other treatments that may give firmer, younger-looking skin include facial peels, line and wrinkle smoothing, and dermal fillers.
When you come to Transform, the entire experience is designed around you and your needs. We’ll listen carefully to your aspirations for being the best you, and you’ll receive all the advice and support you need throughout your journey with us. Here’s a step-by-step guide to what you can expect.
The first step is to meet your patient advisor. You’ll be able to talk to them about why you’re considering skin rejuvenation treatment, whether IPL would be right for you, the likely costs and finance options, and when you’d like to have the treatment. If you feel ready, we’ll then book you in for your free consultation with one of our professional practitioners.
At your free consultation, your professional practitioner will ask you about the results you want to achieve. They’ll guide you through your treatment options and create a personal skin rejuvenation treatment plan for you to ensure that you achieve the best results. IPL can be effective alone, but a combination of treatments could enhance results further. Other treatments that can give firmer, younger-looking skin include facial peels, line and wrinkle smoothing, and dermal fillers. You can discuss every aspect of your treatment with no obligation to go ahead. Our practitioners and nurses are extremely knowledgeable and happy to answer any questions you have. If you feel ready to go ahead, we can book your treatment in for a date and time that suits you.
On the day of your treatment, you’ll be able to go through any last-minute questions with your practitioner. A cooling gel is first applied to the area to be treated and you’ll be asked to wear protective eyewear. A state-of-the-art Lumenis One or Quantum IPL machine is then gently applied. This delivers precise pulses of light that can help to reduce the pigment or imperfection without damaging surrounding tissue. Each treatment takes around 20 minutes. During the treatment you may experience a slight tingling sensation.
You’ll be able to leave the clinic as soon as your treatment has been completed, and you should be fine to go about your normal day-to-day activities. You may experience some redness for an hour or so after treatment.
We believe that the highest quality aftercare is just as important as the treatment itself, so we’re here to support you. If you have any questions or concerns at all, you can contact our 24/7 helpline. Regular treatments can keep your skin looking young and fresh. Around six treatments at three to six weekly intervals are usually required initially. We also recommend a top-up treatment once or twice a year to maintain your desired results.
