Ultherapy – Skin Lifting & Tightening

Ultherapy is a non-surgical, medical aesthetics treatment which involves very precise, micro-focused ultrasound technology with visualisation (MFU-V) energy to lift and sculpt the upper and lower face, neck and décolletage. The treatment targets deep within the skin in order to stimulate the production of new collagen and elastin, creating a youthful lifting effect.

How does Ultherapy work?

Ultherapy works by repairing and strengthening tissue from the inside and out – a process that takes place gradually over time with the creation of new collagen and elastin.

These are both important building blocks within our skin. Over time, our skin naturally loses some of its collagen which can contribute to sagging of the skin. Elastin is a highly elastic protein which allows many tissues in the body to resume their shape after stretching and contracting, which helps the skin to return to its original position when it is poked or pinched.

Again, as we age, our skin loses elastin which also contributes to skin sagging and laxity. Since our faces are constantly subjected to movement and pressure (when we smile, sleep, talk, shout, cry, laugh or sing) the loss of elastin and collagen can really make a difference – Ultherapy works to combat this and restore a lifted, youthful look.
