Dermarollers is a micro-needling treatment that reaches the inner surface of your skin, the dermis. This can help to repair damaged skin by stimulating the body’s natural production of elastin and collagen.
Skin can become damaged and wrinkled in many ways. Often it’s just the natural process of getting older, but other factors such as over exposure to the sun, acne scarring, stretch marks, cellulite and deep scarring cause further damage. If you’re concerned about these problems and want smoother, healthier, younger-looking skin, dermarollers/micro-needling therapy could be an effective treatment for you.

Dermaroller can help to repair damaged skin by stimulating the body’s natural production of elastin and collagen. This micro-needling treatment, reaches the inner surface of your skin, the dermis. Therefore; it helps to encourage the skin to regenerate, working towards a much smoother, brighter and healthier looking skin.
At Transform, all cosmetic procedures are performed only by qualified Nurse practitioners. We have a carefully selected team of professional practitioners who work to the highest standards of cosmetic treatment and patient care.
The procedure usually takes around 30-45 minutes, depending on the area being treated.
Micro-needling therapy is suitable for all skin types, but cannot be used if acne is present on the skin.
The micro-needling treatment is a method used for skin tightening; improving the skins texture and reducing stretch marks and visible scars.
Skin needling is minimally invasive, side effects are unlikely and healing is rapid. The instrument used is 100% sterile and single-use to ensure the highest standards of hygiene.
Your Practitioner will use an anaesthetic cream to numb the area for up to 30 minutes prior to the treatment to the surface of your skin to make the treatment more comfortable.
Immediately after the procedure, the treated skin will appear very red and may feel like sunburn after your treatment. This will settle down after a few hours, but it could take up to 24 hours. You can expect to return to normal daily activities in a couple of days.
It may take up to six weeks before you see signs of improvement, but the natural healing process will continue over the following months. The longevity of results can vary and, if follow up treatments are needed to maintain results, we recommend 3 treatments 6 weeks apart, dependant on the individuals needs.
Microdermabrasion is always recommended prior to treatment to rid and reduce a build of unwanted dead skin cells before having a Dermaroller procedure.nDermaroller works well in combination with other cosmetic treatments such as Juvederm or Botox anti-wrinkle treatment. Your practitioner can recommend the best combination of treatments for you to achieve the best results.
