“I was born with ‘scoliosis’, a medical condition involving a curvature of the spine. As I grew older I became more body conscious – what teenager doesn’t?! Whilst corrective surgery had been a success, in my head I didn’t feel like a real woman.
A few years passed and it was the right time to consider surgery. A number of my friends also had cosmetic surgery procedures and recommended different providers to me. I did some research online and thought Transform was the most approachable, so I booked an appointment at the Reading clinic.
The surgeon consultation went really well – Mr Meleagros was great and he kind of reminded me of my Granddad! He listened to my concerns and we spoke about what the procedure involved. The best part was being able to try different implants on for size.
Following my consultation, I knew that surgery was the right decision for me and I felt fully confident with Mr Meleagros and Transform. The procedure took place around 6 weeks later and I felt slightly nervous, but once I got chatting to staff and other patients, I felt at ease. In fact, I was able to reassure other patients by sharing my previous surgery experience with them.
I was surprised about the lack of pain following the procedure. There was some mild discomfort, but I was just excited to see the final result.
I’m so glad I took the decision to go ahead with the procedure, as I can’t stop grinning at the result. I feel 10 times happier and most importantly, I finally feel like a real woman. I can now buy nicer clothes that show off my figure and I’m no longer afraid to put a bikini on.
If I had to sum up my experience in one word, it would be ‘surreal’. It was a big decision to make, but I felt it was the best decision for my situation and it has made such a massive, positive impact on my life.
I’m now more confident and happier in life and have the body I always wanted.”
