"Going shopping was hugely embarrassing and whenever I saw a gorgeous outfit in a magazine or on TV, I’d get so upset thinking I’d never be able to pull something like that off.
Most of my friends had always been very supportive and would tell me that it wasn’t that noticeable. However, I knew they were lying. It was definitely obvious! The final straw for my confidence was when on a girls’ holiday, someone finally told the truth and said it was very noticeable in a bikini.
Part of me was glad someone had finally been up front, but it was still a blow. I knew then I had to do something about it, before I was put off going on holiday ever again. It sounds silly, but it was affecting my life in a very bad way, and I was terrified of turning into someone who never wanted to leave their house and meet people.
I decided to have the surgery two days before my birthday and was very excited in the lead up to the procedure. It took six weeks to see the final result but I was ecstatic about my new breasts as soon as I woke up. They are now size E-F and are exactly the same shape and size, which was the most important thing for me.
I feel like a completely different person. I have so much more confidence and feel like I’ve been given a new lease of life! I was in such a rut before, but now I’ve joined a gym and love going shopping for clothes. I am planning on training to become a fitness instructor now, something which I’d never have had the confidence to do before I had my breast augmentation."
