Mr Dewing is a plastic surgical NHS Consultant primarily based in the Northwest of England, where he has most recently been a Locum Consultant in Burns Surgery, with a secondary specialist interest in skin cancer treatment and reconstruction.

Mr Dewing has attained the prestigious British qualification the FRCS plastics postgraduate exam.

He has undertaken advanced training in skin cancer at the world-renowned Christie Hospital as a Senior Fellow. With a career including 20 years’ service in the NHS, Mr Dewing is highly experienced and well-regarded by his patients and colleagues alike, having worked and trained in some of the most prestigious plastic surgical units in the UK including the St Andrew’s Centre in Chelmsford, Canniesburn in Glasgow, and Liverpool.

The experience Mr Dewing has gained has provided him with expertise in complex hand trauma and reconstruction using microsurgical techniques, and he has an extensive logbook for skin cancer operations and burns trauma cases. His post-operative management skills reflect this breadth and depth of experience.

In the past four years, Mr Dewing has honed his skills in cosmetic practice through one-to-one supervision conducted by several renowned mentors in the UK. He has a special interest in breast augmentation, breast reduction surgery and abdominoplasty, and is trained in liposuction and VASER liposuction. Mr Dewing also performs a range of non-surgical procedures, including anti-wrinkle treatments and fillers.

Peer-reviewed international journals have featured several of Mr Dewing’s publications relating to his research work on melanoma, as well as innovative breast surgical techniques. As part of his continued professional development, Mr Dewing is a reviewer for the European Journal of Plastic Surgery, and is on the faculty for The College of Remote and Offshore Medicine, which is dedicated to military medical expertise in austere and hostile environments. Mr Dewing has also been responsible for training of junior surgeons and regularly contributes to teaching across a range of postgraduate courses.

He has presented several of his research work findings on melanoma at international forums, including the prestigious NationalCancer Research Institute (NCRI) in London, and was a recipient of two prestigious research grants. With a diverse portfolio, Mr Dewing has also presented at the world-famous ‘Frontline Club’ for journalists and presented on subjects such as detainee welfare at national forensic associations.
