Why consider labiaplasty?
When considering labia reduction surgery, you may feel it’s a subject that’s difficult or embarrassing for you to talk about. That shouldn’t be the case. We have significant experience in this area of cosmetic surgery.
Labiaplasty is a surgical procedure which reduces the size of, or reshapes, the labia minora. There are several reasons why women choose to have labiaplasty:
- Following childbirth your genital area can change shape or size leaving you feeling self-conscious about its appearance.
- The natural ageing process can cause the labia to lose tone or seem enlarged.
- Large or thick labia can cause discomfort when engaging in sport or wearing tighter clothing.
- You may dislike the appearance of your labia to the extent that it affects your sexual confidence.
Discuss labia reduction in complete confidence
We appreciate that this is a very personal and sensitive subject and we are committed to ensuring your privacy at all times. When you book a consultation you’ll speak to a female Patient Care Co-ordinator who will discuss the overall process with you in complete confidence. This includes what happens before and after the procedure, approximate costs and the benefits of having your labiaplasty in the care of Transform.
Meeting your surgeon
We’ll then invite you to have a free, no obligation consultation with one of our experienced labiaplasty surgeons. Our surgeons fully understand the concerns that have led you to find out more about labiaplasty and will focus on the results you wish to achieve*. We will protect your privacy and dignity at all times from consultation through to your aftercare.
You will meet with the surgeon who will perform your labiaplasty procedure. This means you can discuss your needs and receive expert advice in privacy. You will want to know all about the procedure and the results you can expect, and we’ll encourage you to talk to us about any particular worries or concerns. These might include:
- What exactly happens during the procedure?
- Will labiaplasty affect my ability to have children?
- Will future partners be able to tell I’ve had labiaplasty?
- Will labiaplasty affect my genital sensitivity?
- How soon after labiaplasty can I resume my sex life?
- Are there any risks?
Your labiaplasty can usually be performed under local anaesthetic so you can go home the same day. However, the procedure will be carried out in one of our Transform hospitals and not at the clinic. Our hospitals are purpose-built for cosmetic surgery and have medical staff specially trained in caring for cosmetic surgery patients.
*Cosmetic surgery results and benefits can vary and are different for each individual. As such, Transform cannot guarantee specific results.
With you every step of the way
You’ll be in the safest hands at every stage of the process with us, including all pre-operative care and your aftercare. Our step-by-step guide shows the journey from first consultation through to post-operative appointments.
You’ll also be looked after by the same nurse and surgeon from your first consultation until you are fully recovered; they will ensure your comfort and privacy at all times. Before you leave hospital, we’ll give you our 24/7 patient helpline number if you need to speak to a member of our clinical team. Day or night, we’re here for you.
Labia reduction prices
Due to the personal and individual nature of labiaplasty we will advise you on the price of your procedure following your consultation with your surgeon. For guidance, our labiaplasty costs start from £2,700.
We don’t want cost to be a barrier to you achieving your aims through cosmetic surgery. That’s why we work in partnership with a specialist finance provider to offer loans and credit options so you can manage the cost of your procedure. Please see our cosmetic surgery finance page for more details.
However, we understand that this very personal and important decision for you is about much more than price. That’s why we invite you to come and talk to us in absolute privacy. Book a free consultation to discuss labia reduction with labiaplasty.
