Meet Bonnie Whitfield

Bonnie Whitfield, 31, felt uncomfortable about her nose and after breastfeeding her daughter she wanted to look into having a breast augmentation. “My nose has a bump in it, which I have always been aware of. And with regards to my breast augmentation, I decided to have that once I’d had my daughter because I breast fed and it changed the shape of my boobs. I spoke to my partner and my mum, and they understood how I felt about that, and they were very supportive.

I chose Transform because I’d done a lot of research before I decided to have surgery, so I knew I was making the right decision. Firstly, I chose them because the surgeons had brilliant reviews online – I read a lot of reviews from happy patients. Also, the free consultation was a big bonus because I felt there was no obligation.

I went for my initial consultation and my advisor went through everything that was available to me. Then I had my appointment with my surgeon and booked in my date for my surgery, which was very exciting. On the day, I travelled up to the hospital and I was greeted very warmly and taken to my room, where the surgeon came to see me. I was then taken down to theatre and the surgeon reassured me because I was feeling quite nervous.

Once I came round from my surgery, I was taken back to my room and looked after very well. I stayed in overnight and went home the next day. The aftercare was fantastic, there was always somebody available if I had any worries and I was able to call someone if I didn’t feel very well.

Then I had my follow-up checks with the nurse, who was absolutely brilliant, she reassured me of everything and answered all my questions. I never felt like I was kept in the dark about anything. I felt like everything was very honest and open, and I could ask any question I wanted to. I was really happy with everything that happened.

The rhinoplasty has had the biggest impact on my life. “I look forward to seeing the pictures people have taken of me. That’s just made a massive impact on my confidence. And with regards to my breast augmentation, I just feel much more like me again, I feel like I’ve got my body back.”
