Mr Steven John Robinson is a highly experienced Consultant General Surgeon with a specialist interest in upper gastrointestinal and bariatric (weight loss) surgery. He has dedicated his career to helping patients achieve improved health and quality of life through advanced surgical treatments, combining extensive clinical experience with a patient-focused approach to care.

Following the completion of his medical training and Certificate of Completion of Training in General Surgery, Mr Robinson gained valuable experience working within the NHS, the military and healthcare systems in New Zealand. These diverse roles enabled him to develop a broad range of surgical skills and expertise, which continue to benefit his patients today.

Since 2014, Mr Robinson has served as a substantive Upper Gastrointestinal and General Surgery Consultant at Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust. He remains committed to ongoing professional development and regularly attends specialist educational courses, conferences and professional meetings to ensure his knowledge and skills remain up to date. He has also contributed to a number of publications within his field and has presented his work at conferences both in the UK and internationally.

Alongside his clinical practice, Mr Robinson plays an active role in surgical education and training. He is a member of the Faculty of Surgical Trainers with the Royal College of Surgeons of England and serves as a trainer for Advanced Trauma and Life Support (ATLS), Care of the Critically Ill Surgical Patient (CCrISP) and endoscopy training programmes. He is also involved in undergraduate medical education as a Senior Academy Tutor and validated examiner for Birmingham University Medical School.

In addition to his teaching and clinical responsibilities, Mr Robinson contributes to the wider medical community as a reviewer for the British Medical Journal. His commitment to education, research and high standards of patient care has established him as a respected figure within upper gastrointestinal and bariatric surgery.
