Mr Mohamed Shalabi

Mr Mohamed Shalabi is a Consultant Plastic Surgeon with more than 15 years of clinical experience across the UK, the Middle East and Europe. His work covers aesthetic and reconstructive breast surgery, body contouring, liposuction and abdominoplasty.

He has held consultant and senior surgical posts at the Royal London Hospital, Queen Victoria Hospital in East Grinstead and Colchester Hospital, and continues to work in the NHS. He holds practising privileges with Transform Medical Services Limited for the breast and body procedures listed below.

Mr Shalabi qualified in medicine at Alexandria University in 2005 and completed a Master’s degree in Surgery in 2013. He became a Member of the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 2010 and of Glasgow in 2015.

His specialist training includes a Senior Trauma and Reconstructive Fellowship (2019–2020) and a Microsurgery Fellowship (2020–2021) at Queen Victoria Hospital, East Grinstead, with further training in hand surgery, burns care and reconstruction. He completed an Oncoplastic Breast Surgery Fellowship at Coventry and Warwick University Hospital (2022–2023), followed by a Breast Microsurgery Fellowship at the Royal London Hospital (2023–2024).

His practice is built around patient care and surgical safety. He is involved in clinical research and teaching and presents at national and international conferences. At consultation, he discusses patients’ goals, medical history, risks, recovery and alternatives to help them decide whether surgery is right for them.
