Best bikinis for big breasts

Tips for choosing a bikini for big breasts

Breasts are great. From AA cups to JJ cups, there’s a lot to love about our lady lumps. And with our holidays so close we can taste the Sangria, there’s only one wardrobe addition on our minds. Yep, it’s our breast-boosting pal, The Bikini.

Whether you’ve just had breast surgery or you are waiting to have it done, we’ll bet that you can’t wait to slip into a tiny triangle halter (can’t blame you, side boob though). First things first though, you’ll need to think about support. We’ve picked out our favourite styles that will allow you to lounge, swim, and play with confidence while looking fab. Here’s our pick of bikinis for big breasts.

Best bikini styles

Balconette

A winner for big breasts. With its strong underwiring and classic uplifting quality, your boobs will feel secure but with room to jiggle. Thanks to the balconette’s thick straps and moulded cups, you’ll get the right amount of support without the sacrifice of a gorgeous design. Not only that, the balconette separates and lifts each breast, so they’ll look round and symmetrical too! We love the Sundance Sweetheart Bikini by Freya, available in sizes D-HH, £38.

Plunge

All eyes will be on you in a pretty plunge. Whether you want to show a little or a lot, the plunge will allow for cleavage without feeling like you’re going to fall out every two minutes. If your breasts touch in the middle, a plunging neckline will allow your boobs to do their thing without any rubbing or digging in. The Hi Voltage plunge bikini by Curvy Kate is our favourite, we love the modest mesh panels! Available in sizes E-J, £38.

Full Cup

A staple for bigger breasts. If you’re looking for comfort and simplicity, the full cup bikini is your go-to. The high cups provide extra modesty but there’s so many pretty patterns out there, they’ll never be the `boring` option. Full cup bikinis are so easy to mix and match too, perfect if you are taking a few to wash and wear on holiday! We want this Bravissimo Amalfi one, available in sizes DD-K, £34.

Halter Bikini

We have a love/hate relationship with halter bikinis- and if you’ve got big boobs too, you’ll feel us! We think it’s all in the necktie. The support shouldn’t rely on the neck bow or clasp, so if your neck and shoulders are aching, your halter bikini is not doing the job. A good, strong halter will keep your boobs lifted and will minimise nip slip, two things we need from a bikini right now. Miss Mandalay’s Icon Black Full Bust halter, available in sizes D-GG for £45, is our top pick.

Bandeau

We get it, bandeau bikinis aren’t the best for big breasts. They fall down, they make our boobs bulge over and they don’t offer the best support. But let’s squash the myth that all bandeaus are banished from big breast land, because good ones do exist! Bandeaus are fab for the sunbathers among us, and because they’re soft to the touch, they are the perfect style to lounge about in. We’re obsessed with Bravissimo’s Venice bikini top with detachable halter straps, available in sizes D-HH, £36.
