What is 3D face contouring?

Introducing the real-life Instagram filter

Dermal filler injections are a great way to plump your skin, smooth wrinkles and fill deep lines. At Transform, we offer a variety of dermal filler types and can create a bespoke treatment package to help you get the look you want.

If you’ve noticed that your lines and wrinkles are quite deep or sunken cheeks are making your face look tired, dermal fillers could help to restore a more youthful look. They can be used for plumping parts of the face that have lost volume due to the ageing process or skin damage, including cheeks, nose to mouth lines, around the mouth and lips, forehead, mouth to chin lines, between the eyebrows, and acne scars.

Imagine an Instagram beauty filter except in real life…

Although commonly used to treat the effects of ageing such as deep lines and wrinkles, dermal fillers specifically for contouring the face are becoming more and more popular – especially amongst the social media glitterati with influencers like Sarah Ashcroft* being one of many to have had the treatment.

Gaining traction as the ‘injectable filter’ this is a non-invasive facial contouring procedure which uses small volumes of dermal filler. Around 2-3 syringes are used in targeted areas of the face to contour, define, strobe and highlight the same areas which you’d typically contour with creams and powders. 3D face contouring can also lift and slim the face and is most popular for its ability to enhance your natural features.

Following a full facial assessment in your consultation, you will be given a personalised treatment plan. Where the filler is applied varies from person to person and will entirely depend on your individual facial features.

Different areas of the face can be treated with dermal filler depending on what you are hoping to achieve:

·         Cheeks – to define the cheeks and create the illusion of strong cheekbones

·         Jawline – to strengthen the jawline and soften the appearance of a double chin

·         Lips – to plump and add volume to the lips

·         Under the nose – to support the nose through ageing and to stop sagging

During your treatment, a special numbing cream is applied to the area that’s going to be treated, which means that although it might be uncomfortable, it shouldn’t be painful. There may be a small amount of swelling or bruising around the site of the injections but this usually subsides within 30 minutes and disappears entirely within 48 hours.
