“I felt like the time was right for me!”
Mia had been considering having breast augmentation in order to boost her self-confidence since the age of 16. Although some patients choose to discuss the procedure with friends and family beforehand, Mia says, “I didn’t tell anyone about my surgery, because I was only doing it for myself. I’d thought long and hard about it, so I knew what I wanted. I felt like the time was right for me.”
She was delighted with the results following her breast enlargement surgery. “I just can’t stop looking at them! I am so in love with them now. I truly feel like my whole personality has changed – I’m just so much more confident. It’s nice to not worry about what other parts of my body look like, because I know my breasts look so amazing!”
Asked what advice she’d give to someone considering having a boob job themselves, Mia says, “Make sure you’re doing it for you and no one else. Take time to think about it, and make sure you’re completely clear about why you want the surgery. I’m so glad I went for it. I feel amazing.”

What I wish I’d known before surgery
There’s lots of things to think about before surgery. Mia was so excited about having her breast augmentation, she hadn’t fully thought through her recovery period.
She says, “It sounds like a little thing, but I wish I’d brought along a tie up cardigan or zip up hoodie – raising my hands above my head post-surgery was a bit of a challenge and would have been a lot easier if it fastened at the front!
“I’ve taken lots of pictures of my new breasts – mainly because I love them, but also to monitor the change. I had no idea what a difference it could be from day 1 to 3 months post-op. Don’t worry if you wake up and they touch your chin! They will drop and look more natural every day.”
