Nicola, 30, had abdominoplasty and liposuction with Transform. Having lost quite a lot of weight a few years earlier, she decided that if she managed to keep it off, she would have surgery to remove all the excess skin that the weight loss had left.
"After some research, I met with a patient advisor, who talked me through what would happen. Then I called back and booked in to meet the surgeon, who again talked me through everything in more detail, what would happen, and the aftercare I would have. The consultation with the surgeon was more in depth. He recommended liposuction with the abdominoplasty to get the most out of it. His confidence completely put me at ease and got me more excited than nervous. After consideration, I booked in and went ahead with the surgery.
My family and friends were supportive. They were excited but obviously my mum was quite nervous, so I brought her along to one of my appointments with the surgeon at Transform, and that completely put her at ease. The staff at Transform make you feel at ease from the moment you walk in. All the way through, you don’t feel like a number, you feel more like a patient who’s being cared for.
I needed quite a lot of aftercare for such a big operation. Obviously I was apprehensive about the discomfort that I might be in, but it was fine. I was so well looked after and I had as many appointments as I needed.
Do it. Without a question, if you were in a similar position to me, I would say have the surgery, meet the people at Transform, they’ll help you through it and I would just go for it. I would 100% recommend Transform to anybody. If I was to ever want or need surgery again, I would hands down go back to Transform.
I would do it again in a heartbeat. I’d recommend it to anyone. The surgery has completely changed my life, in every aspect. I can be a better parent, I’m more active, I’ve got a world of confidence that I didn’t know before. In clothes, out of clothes, at the gym, just going to work and getting dressed in the morning, I can wear whatever I want, and I couldn’t do that before.”
