Varicose veins are enlarged, lumpy veins that can develop in the leg. They can be rather unsightly and cause you embarrassment about your appearance, but they can be safely be removed using one of our treatment techniques.
We offer three different methods of varicose vein removal. Our non-surgical options include Endovenous Laser Ablation (EVLA), which uses laser light to seal the varicose vein from the inside. The other non-surgical option we provide is Radiofrequency VNUS Closure. Similar to EVLA, it uses heat instead of a laser to seal the vein from the inside.
Our surgical option is called Vein Avulsion, where a small incision is made into the skin and the varicose veins are removed by our highly qualified surgeons.
The procedure will close off the unwanted vein, or remove it completely. Varicose veins can cause discomfort, so the benefit of having them removed is that any swelling you may be experiencing in the area is eliminated.
Once the vein is removed, you’ll be likely to experience improved circulation and feel better about the appearance of your legs, meaning that you’re happier wearing the clothes you want without worrying about your varicose vein/s being exposed.
The procedure involves minimal pain, and with our advanced technology, minimal scarring.
As with all medical aesthetic treatments, it’s important to weigh up the risks involved against the benefits that the treatment can bring. Your medical aesthetic practitioner will talk you through any risks and complications.
Varicose vein treatment is a low-risk procedure, but side effects may include scar tissue, sensitivity and mild pain.
Although varicose veins are usually harmless, you may feel that removing them and having an even skin tone would make you feel happier about your appearance.
Your varicose vein might be causing you discomfort while you’re trying to sleep, or you may have noticed it getting bigger. It may be bothering you if it’s stopping you from wearing particular clothes as you feel conscious about it being on show.
Our surgeon assistants can guide you through the removal procedure at your free consultation to see if it’s right for you.
