How long do the results of liposuction last?
The fat cells which are removed during the liposuction procedure are removed permanently. However, if you gain weight after surgery, this will create new fat cells which will usually be found in different areas of your body. To keep your new shape after surgery you should follow a healthy diet and exercise regularly.
How much does liposuction cost?
Every patient’s individual procedure is different and is tailored specifically to your needs. As a result, liposuction costs can vary, but your Patient Advisor will be able to provide you with this during your free consultation.
It’s important to bear in mind that although cost is, of course, an important factor in your final decision as to whether you proceed with surgery, it should be considered alongside factors such as level of care, patient safety and surgeon experience.
Can liposuction help me lose weight?
While it's an extremely effective procedure which can provide a shapelier figure and make your body look more in proportion, liposuction is not a weight loss procedure in itself and is not a treatment for obesity. The amount of fat which is extracted from the body during the treatment doesn’t result in significant weight loss. What it will do, however, is shape problem areas which have remained resistant to lifestyle changes such as taking regular exercise and eating a healthy balanced diet.
