If you’d like to alter the shape of your nose without undergoing full cosmetic surgery, then non-surgical rhinoplasty – also known as ‘nose fillers’ or a ‘liquid nose job’ – might be the right solution for you.
Non-surgical rhinoplasty is a treatment carried out using dermal filler to change the shape and contours of the nose. This is the same kind of filler that is routinely used in many areas of the face including the cheeks, lips, jawline, chin and under eyes.
Through this treatment our medical aesthetic practitioners are able to change the appearance of your nose subtly, yet effectively. One of the most common complaints we address is a ‘hooked nose,’ but by injecting filler above and the below the bump, the practitioner can make it look much straighter. There are a number of other options to help enhance the look of your nose, and these can be discussed in your free consultation.
The treatment can last between 18 months to 2 years, and will slowly be broken down by your body’s own natural processes.
Non-surgical rhinoplasty can help to smooth the appearance of small bumps in the nose, raise the tip of the nose, and create a straighter effect. You’ll also be able to avoid excessive pain or downtime that having a surgical procedure might bring, and you can usually return to work and normal activities on the same day.
The treatment can be carried out in around 35-40 minutes, so it can easily fit in around a busy lifestyle.
As with all medical aesthetic treatments, it’s important to weigh up the risks involved against the benefits that the treatment can bring. Your medical aesthetic practitioner will talk you through any risks or complications of the treatment.
Side effects are usually minimal, but you may experience redness, swelling and bruising around the injection site.
If you’re not ready to have full rhinoplasty surgery, a non-surgical nose job could be the ideal treatment for you. While dermal fillers in the nose can’t remove a large bump, they can help to camouflage it so that your nose has a smoother and straighter appearance overall.
Non-surgical rhinoplasty is not permanent. As it lasts between 18 months to 2 years, you’re less committed to the results than if you were to undergo a surgical procedure. The treatment can be carried out in around 35-40 minutes and downtime is minimal. A full surgical procedure is more invasive, meaning a longer recovery period, more time off work and a slower healing process. We’re ready when you are
Time to meet your surgeon assistant. You’ll be able to talk to them about why you’re considering non-surgical rhinoplasty, which filler product/s may be right for you, the likely costs and finance options, and when you’d like to have treatment. If you feel ready, we’ll then book you in for your free consultation with one of our professional practitioners or nurses.
Now’s the time to talk to your professional medical aesthetics practitioner, with absolutely no obligation to go ahead. You can discuss what you would like to achieve and whether you’re a suitable candidate for treatment, as well as chatting through benefits and risks. If you feel ready to go ahead, we can book your procedure for a date and time that suits you.
On the day of your treatment, you’ll be able to go through any last-minute questions with your practitioner or nurse. They’ll apply a numbing cream to your nose, and once it’s taken effect your practitioner will use a very fine needle to carefully complete the series of small injections. The treatment takes 35-40 minutes and, although you may experience some slight swelling or bruising, you’ll be able to see the results straight away.
You can leave the clinic as soon as your treatment has been completed, and you should be able to go about your normal day-to-day activities as normal. Any swelling or bruising usually disappears within 2 days, depending upon how quickly you generally heal.
We believe that the highest quality aftercare is just as important as the treatment itself, so we’re here to support you. If you have any questions or concerns at all, you can contact your medical aesthetic practitioner. We recommend that you don’t touch the area that’s been treated or apply makeup for 1-2 days to avoid any bacteria getting into the injection sites. Depending on the type of dermal filler that’s used, the results can last up to 2 years.
