Facial peels are an increasingly popular skincare solution for men. Peels use a chemical solution to exfoliate and remove the top layer of dead skin cells, so that new skin cells can replenish, unveiling a fresh layer of skin that will look smoother and more youthful than before.
Facial peels for men are particularly beneficial, as they can penetrate through coarse skin and facial hair.
Our facial peels are powerful enough to treat wrinkles, pigmentation, acne, sun damage and scars, by resurfacing the skin. This type of accelerated exfoliation gets deep into the layers of the skin to stimulate cell renewal.
Our facial peels target pigmentation caused by sun damage and superficial scarring, and reduces the appearance of wrinkles. A chemical peel is also effective in treating acne and congestion by removing build up on the skin, making way for your skincare products at home to penetrate deeper into the skin on your face.
While the treatment is beneficial to both men and women, it’s particularly useful for men who want to target alternate areas such as the neck, hands, forearms and chest, as well as the face. The peels are successful in reducing acne scarring, ingrown hairs, brown spots, fine lines and wrinkles. Depending on your skin type, we may recommend a course of chemical peels to reach the desired result. This type of enhanced exfoliation will promote healthy, clear skin.
As with all medical aesthetic treatments, it’s important to weigh up the risks involved against the benefits that the treatment can bring. Your medical aesthetic practitioner will talk you through all the risks and contraindications of the treatment.
Side effects are usually minimal. You may experience redness and flaking skin after the treatment, but this is completely normal and will pass quickly.
A facial peel could be right for you if you want to give your skin a fresh start, and if skincare products aren’t helping with pigmentation, acne scarring or an uneven skin tone.
Our highly trained medical aesthetic practitioners can guide you through which skin peel will be most effective for you.

We’re ready when you are
Your first appointment
Your skincare journey begins when you meet your friendly and knowledgeable surgeon assistant. You’ll be able to talk to them about why you’re considering facial peeling treatment, whether it’s right for you, the likely chemical peel cost and finance options, and when you’d like to have the treatment. If you feel ready, we’ll then book you in for your free consultation with one of our professional practitioners or nurses.
Your treatment consultation
At your free consultation, your professional practitioner or nurse will ask you about the results you want to achieve. They’ll guide you through your skin peel treatment options and create a personal plan to ensure you achieve the best results. Your treatment plan will depend on the issues that you’d like to address, whether that’s congested, dull, tired skin, fine wrinkles, skin ageing, liver spots, acne scars or sun damage.
We provide a range of medical formulation chemical peel treatments of varying strengths. Each is designed to penetrate and exfoliate to a particular depth. You can discuss every aspect of your treatment with us, with no obligation to go ahead. Our aesthetic practitioners and nurses are extremely knowledgeable and happy to answer any questions you have. If you feel ready to proceed, we can book your treatment in for a date and time that suits you.
On the day of your chemical peel treatment, you’ll be able to go through any last-minute questions with your practitioner or nurse. Each chemical skin peel has a different strength of active ingredients, and therefore the treatment itself varies.
Generally, the procedure involves preparing the area to be treated and then carefully applying the chemical skin peel. It will be removed after a specific time and, depending on the type of peel, a cream may then be applied. The chemical peel works by bringing the pH of the skin to an optimum acidity level. This chemically loosens the glue that binds the dead and damaged cells, causing exfoliation and promoting new cell growth. The treatment usually takes around 30 minutes and will be carried out in one of our Care Quality Commission-registered facilities.
You’ll be able to leave the clinic as soon as your chemical peel treatment has been completed. Some chemical peels are single skin peeling treatments, and you should be fine to go about your normal day-to-day activities with no downtime. Other types of treatment may require a chemical peel course, some of which have little or no downtime, and others with a maximum of 7 to 10 days recovery period. Your skin will be sensitive after your chemical peel, so you should always use sunblock post-treatment.
High quality aftercare is at the heart of what we do, so we’re here to support you. If you have any questions or concerns at all, you can contact our 24/7 helpline.
